Working Hours: Full time and Part time hours available
Responsibilities
* Support Workers are essential to helping individuals achieve their agreed outcomes and remain in their own homes safely for as long as possible, working with other professionals or independently to carry out care and reablement plans. The role promotes flexibility, dignity, respect, wellbeing, confidence and independence to improve quality of life.
* Provide safe, person‑centred support, follow health and safety best practices, complete basic risk assessments and support infection prevention and control.
* Use innovative approaches to help customers achieve as much independence as possible, comply with the code of conduct, staff handbook and Corserv Care policies to uphold quality standards and human rights principles.
* Maintain accurate and factual records as required by law, work safely as a lone worker or with a partner, and communicate actions and outcomes to others while safeguarding service users, staff and others.
* Monitor the health and wellbeing of service users, report concerns or changes to management, and support safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
* Adopt a positive and flexible approach to tasks, including daily living skills assistance, personal care, meal preparation and housekeeping; collaborate with families, healthcare professionals and occupational therapists; enable access to community opportunities; and pursue ongoing development and relevant training.
Requirements
* Current right to work in the UK
* Understanding of reablement and care provision
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Basic IT skills
* Empathy and a passion to support others
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong time management
* FULL DRIVING LICENCE valid to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle
* Safeguarding: Commitment to safeguarding welfare of all service users. Enhanced DBS check required.
Company Benefits
* Guaranteed payment: £12.63 per hour. Overtime may be available. You are paid for a full shift, even if a client cancels.
* Time and a half for overtime over 40 hours
* Guaranteed paid travel time and mileage: 45p per mile, including travel and contact time. After probation (6 months), you may join the Car Lease Scheme.
* Paid DBS: Enhanced DBS paid by Corserv Care
* Pension: Generous employer-contributed pension scheme
* Annual leave: 31 days (including bank holidays), pro-rata for part-time, with option to buy up to 1 extra week
* Permanent roles: Full time and part time opportunities
* Bank Worker: Opportunities to work ad hoc hours in other care services on a zero hours contract
* Guaranteed two-week rotating pattern to support work‑life balance
* All rounds start 7:00–14:00; evening rounds 17:00–22:00; every other weekend is mandatory
* Full training and ongoing development, including Care Certificate, Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support; e-learning for mandatory training; job shadowing and team support; supervision and annual appraisals; potential qualifications (Level 2/3 Health and Social Care)
* Equipment: uniform, full PPE, work mobile phone, lone worker device
