Occupational Therapist - £35 per hour LTD. Haringey Council.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team on an agency basis, offering a competitive pay rate of £35 Ltd per hour (£31.31 p/h PAYE inclusive). As a member of the Access and Independence Service, you will work across First Response, Reablement, and Assessment teams to support individuals with complex care and therapy needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users with complex needs, helping them to set person-centred goals aimed at promoting independence and wellbeing in their home environment.
2. Empower service users by providing timely information, advice, and evidence-based interventions to help maintain their independence for as long as possible.
3. Assess and provide necessary equipment to improve daily living activities, reduce injury risks, and support manual handling to reduce the need for double-handed care.
4. Manage your own caseload independently, prioritising effectively and ensuring timely service delivery.
5. Identify service users who may require Continuing Health Care due to complex health needs and refer as appropriate.
6. Identify and address safeguarding concerns, completing thorough risk assessments and following Inter-Agency Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Adults.
7. Assess the capacity of service users to make informed decisions about their care, adhering to the Care and Mental Capacity Act.
