About the role
This is an exciting role to join the International Office at the University of Sunderland on a full-time permanent contract. The opportunities are to work within the International Office at the University of Sunderland to liaise with and convert students across several markets including the Middle East and North Africa, Americas, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, East Asia and Europe.
The International Office are responsible for international recruitment to our three campuses in Sunderland, London and Hong Kong including Transnational Education (TNE), Study Abroad and Independent Distance Learning.
This role reports directly to International Development Team Manager, situated, within the International Office team. The main purpose of the role is to support international Development Officers and Strategic Management Team in the conversion of International and EU students from application to enrolment. It also includes administration, planning, and delivery of international student recruitment operations. Further responsibilities include to work with key internal and external partners to supply the required information about students' progress from application to enrolment.

The successful candidate will have –
* Demonstrable experience of effective office administration including advanced use of Excel and Word
* Experience of offering excellent service in a customer-facing environment
* Demonstrable experience of working within a role that requires effective planning and organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to negotiate, troubleshoot issues, persuade and influence.
* Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
