We are seeking an experienced Business Sales person with proven sales experience in the waste management, building, or construction industries. This position is based at our Head Office in Fareham, Hampshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and generating revenue for the company’s services in the SO postcode areas, increasing sales, and securing new business to support the company's growth.
Responsibilities include:
* Generating revenue through promoting services such as Skips, Rollonoffs, Grabs, muck-away, Primary and Recycled Aggregates, Vacuum Road Brush, Ready Mixed Concrete, Concrete Pumps, L&S Portable Toilets, Eco Blocks, and Barrier Blocks.
* Managing and expanding key account relationships and developing new business opportunities.
* Raising awareness of the company’s services in the local and surrounding markets.
* Building long-term profitable relationships with clients and contacts.
* Reviewing and managing existing customer base within the SO postcode areas.
* Organising sales and marketing campaigns and advertising efforts as needed.
* Analyzing market share and producing weekly activity reports.
* Collaborating with the sales team to ensure communication and lead sharing.
* Providing quotation information to the Business Development Administrator.
* Monitoring and increasing the number of account customers.
* Tracking prospects and client activities, following up appropriately.
* Utilising Glenigan leads and other planning leads to generate new business weekly.
* Staying informed about market changes and legislation.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven sales experience in waste, building, or construction industries.
* Experience in the building industry, either via a builders merchant or direct B2B sales.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and IT skills.
* Good geographical knowledge.
* Attention to detail for accurate information management.
* Working knowledge of Sage ACT or similar CRM systems.
* Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
* Calm and patient under pressure.
* Ability to multi-task and use initiative.
* Positive, self-motivated, and proactive attitude.
Rewards:
* Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, plus bonuses up to £12,000 and commissions potentially adding £12,000 per year, with total earnings around £45,000 - £57,000.
* Company vehicle.
* Holiday entitlement: 25 days, increasing to 27 after 5 years, and 30 after 10 years.
