Private Client Paralegal Location: Thame, Oxfordshire Sector: Private Client Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you looking to build your legal career with a team that values people as much as process? Our client are seeking a Private Client Paralegal to join their expanding team and play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services across wills, probate, LPAs, and trusts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with either existing private client experience or strong legal academic training who is ready to put their knowledge into practice. What You’ll Be Doing: Working closely with a senior solicitor, you’ll provide essential support on a broad range of private client matters. Your role will include: Drafting wills, LPAs, and trust documents Managing non-taxable probate applications and supporting inheritance tax submissions Liaising with clients - often as the first point of contact during sensitive times Preparing letters, client reports, seminar notes, and compliance documents Completing AML checks and managing the file-opening process Handling all stages of probate administration from start to finish Supporting marketing initiatives, including event materials and communications Maintaining and updating the firm’s case management system (Quill / MyHMCTS) Producing client invoices and tracking case progression What We’re Looking For Prior experience in private client work (wills, probate, LPA, trusts) within a legal practice OR legal qualifications such as a Law Degree, CILEX, LPC, or STEP, with a strong interest in private client law High levels of empathy and professionalism when dealing with sensitive client matters Excellent attention to detail and time management skills A client-first mindset and clear communication style Proficiency in legal software and an interest in compliance and best practice Familiarity with MyHMCTS or Quill is advantageous but not essential Why This Role?
