Salary: £12.60 an hour
Location: High Wycombe
Contract/Hours: Casual 0 hours contract
Casual - Shift times are 7am to 3pm, 2pm to 10pm and 9.30pm to 7.30am Waking Nights. Varied Hours – pick and choose when you work, around your study, family, retirement or home life

About the service
The Vines is situated in High Wycombe, just minutes off the M40, 20 minutes off the M25 and well served by the local public transport network. In this warm and welcoming house, we provide residential short breaks that support children and young people with learning disabilities aged 11 to 19 who have complex behavioural needs.
We are looking for a Residential Worker to join our fun and supportive team, who can bring their experience, can-do attitude and passion with them and help maintain the high standards already set by our wonderful team Working hours are on a shift basis and you'll know your rota a month in advance.
How you'll help to create brighter futures
* Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing and managing risk.
* Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
* Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc.
* Being resilient in supporting the young people through challenging situations.
Let's talk about you, ideally you will have:
* Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust
* Application of a range of techniques to co-ordinate and communicate with service users and their families.
* Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting.
* Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role.
* Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years.
