Process Controller (Water) - Reading, Berkshire, RG2 0SFContract: PermanentSalary: Offering a salary of up to 31,500, depending on skills and experienceWe are seeking a full-time permanent Process Controller (Water) to join our Reading operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering the production of millions of litres of water for customers across Reading and the surrounding areas.Reporting to the Production Manager and working alongside other Process Technicians, you will act as a key member of the area operations team in delivering a high standard of work across our Water Treatment Works (WTW) and Reservoirs.Location: Reading Fobney RG2 0SF, however you will cover Reading and the surrounding areasHours: Monday Friday, 38 hours per week, 7.30am 15:36pm, plus a standby rota What you will be doing as a Process Controller (Water)Following the appropriate training, youll learn how to operate and optimise all processes and equipment onsite to ensure water quality, compliance, safety and operational efficiencyRespond to reactive work to maintain operational outputComplete scheduled planned work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and proceduresTaking responsibility for your own Health and Safety, as well as for others on site by promoting a safe working environmentLiaising with internal and external stakeholders for completion of large-scale planned work on-siteSupport with the training of apprentices when requiredThe essential criteria to help you succeed in this role are:A full UK driving license is required as you will be travelling to different sites, you will be provided with a company van, full PPE, and tools.Health & Safety Knowledge and experienceConfidence making decisions about our sites under pressureAbility to demonstrate logical thinking and attention to detailAbility to work autonomously and part of a teamExcellent communication and rapport building skills to establish strong relationships with stakeholders quicklyThe desirable criteria to help you succeed in the role are:Management of Water Production qualification (or equivalent), or water industry experienceStrong physical fitness as you may have to work in confined spaces and work at height following completion of appropriate trainingProcess Control ExperienceWhats in it for you?Offering a salary of up to 31,500, depending on skills and experienceAnnual Leave 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 daysWell support you with gaining valuable qualifications, including your ADR licence and 7.5 tonne driving licenseGenerous Paternity Leave, including 4 weeks paid and an optional 2 weeks unpaid.Enhanced Maternity Leave, 26 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half pay!Access to lots of benefits to help you take care of yourself and your familys health and wellbeing, and your finances from annual health MOTs and access to physiotherapy and counselling, to Cycle to Work schemes, shopping vouchers and life assurance.Find out more about our benefits and perks (Please note different T&Cs apply if on secondment)Who are we?Were the UKs largest water and wastewater company, with more than 16 million customers relying on us every day to supply water for their taps and toilets.
