Your apprenticeship will combine hands-on experience with college learning, helping you develop both practical and technical knowledge.

2. Preparing surfaces ready for painting and decorating work
3. Using a range of tools, materials, and equipment safely and effectively
4. Assisting with painting, wallpapering, and finishing tasks
5. Learning different decorating techniques and industry standards
6. Supporting experienced decorators on live projects and maintenance works
7. Following health & safety procedures and safe working practices at all times
8. Maintaining clean and organised working areas
9. Developing an understanding of colour matching, finishes, and materials
10. Attending college as part of your apprenticeship programme and completing coursework
11. Building confidence working both independently and as part of a team
As part of your apprenticeship, you'll complete a Level 2 Painting & Decorating qualification. This will include approximately 20 weeks at college during your first year and 10 weeks during your second year, alongside practical on-site experience.
You'll be fully supported throughout your apprenticeship with dedicated learning support, experienced mentors, and a team ready to help you succeed every step of the way.
