Teaching Assistant – Primary SEN School, Colne
Vision for Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary setting in Colne from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2 within a specialist primary school. The pupils have a range of complex needs including Autism, communication difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. The role will involve supporting small groups or individual learners with classroom tasks, sensory activities, and personal care when required.
This is a full-time, long-term position to start as soon as possible, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will work closely with teaching staff and other support professionals to deliver personalised learning, ensure pupil engagement, and promote positive behaviour.
Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable, but we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant personal experience or transferable skills.
