Role Details
Our client is seeking a proven Senior Valuations Analyst to join a collaborative team working across the full lifecycle of valuation model development.
The client empowers the teams to ask questions, take ownership and present new ideas.
If you were in the role today you would be:
Taking ownership of, and enhancing complex credit card valuation models.
You would be expected to monitor performance, whilst updating assumptions.
You would enjoy modelling new commercial opportunities across multiple products.
In this role, you'll provide the reasoning, and present the results that shape credit policy, product, and pricing strategies.
This is a key position offering the opportunity to drive improvements in valuation modelling whilst having real business impact. The successful candidate will have significant exposure to stakeholders across commercial, product, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities: The fun part!
Carry out detailed valuations focused on assessing the profitability of lending products and customer vintages over time.
Develop and enhance financial models that project revenue, costs, credit losses, and profitability for different customer cohorts.
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform valuation assumptions and strategy.
Apply advanced statistical techniques to validate and refine key inputs and assumptions within valuations models.
Lead regular refreshes of valuation models, updating inputs based on the latest data and market conditions.
Drive improvements and automation within the valuations modelling and monitoring framework to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Monitor actual financial performance versus forecasts, analysing variances to support strategic decision-making and optimise profitability.
Take ownership of the P&L for lending products, contributing directly to commercial and financial outcomes.
Collaborate closely with finance teams to ensure valuations integrate seamlessly into financial forecasting and business planning.
Communicate complex modelling methodologies, valuation results, and financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, serving as a subject matter expert in valuations and profitability analysis.

Essential:
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
You bring at least 3 years of experience in credit analysis, corporate finance, valuations, or accounting.
You're skilled at building and maintaining financial models, with advanced Excel expertise.
You have strong SQL skills and are confident working with joins, aggregations, CTEs, and window functions.
You communicate clearly and confidently, engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and enjoy tackling new challenges.
You're proactive and always looking for ways to improve processes and drive efficiency.
Nice to have :
You have experience working in credit card valuation modelling or similar financial products.
You're familiar with statistical techniques used to ground assumptions in valuations.
You've worked on migrating models from Excel into programming languages like Python.
You understand how valuation models connect with financial forecasts and business planning.
You bring knowledge of the credit card or broader consumer finance industry.
