Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications.
Duties
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and providing information regarding medications and health products.
* Maintain an organised and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and receiving deliveries of pharmaceutical supplies.
* Document information accurately in compliance with legal requirements and organisational policies.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient care practices.
Skills
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is desirable but not essential.
* Understanding of medication administration processes and protocols.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
