CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Critical Services Shift Engineer to join our team in Chester.
Role Purpose:
To deliver and maintain day-to-day PPM tasks, reactive and sub-contractor maintenance. To be a member of a successful team committed to achieving client and company objectives. Support the shift supervisor and cover shifts when needed. Report to the Shift Leader on all building services operational matters, including critical and non-critical engineering work.
This role has no direct reports but requires collaboration with the Account Manager, Contract Manager, CEWA manager, MAC Manager, site engineering team, contract support team, and third-party specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the shift team in providing excellent service.
2. Provide cover for out-of-hours work.
3. Manage Building Management System operations.
4. Maintain daily PPM records and general housekeeping duties.
5. Ensure compliance with all H&S policies.
6. Support colleagues to motivate and commit to the client and company.
7. Proactively resolve daily problems.
8. Monitor and review permits and maintenance practices.
9. Understand and follow emergency procedures.

* Employed within Bank of America Services on a prestigious account.
* Interface with tenants and clients at all levels.
* Ensure statutory and safety compliance.
* Collaborate across CBRE departments for seamless service delivery.

Personal Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
Candidates should have a minimum academic qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, with several years of relevant experience, including customer service skills. Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Duties:
* Multiskilled engineer with knowledge of HVAC and building services.
* Flexible, proactive, and willing to work outside their skill set.
* Training as required and administrative skills for statutory records.
* Ability to work independently and on multiple sites.
* Operate building systems efficiently and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
* Manage critical equipment and escalate incidents appropriately.
Skills:
* Experience as a shift engineer in a prestigious environment.
* Qualifications in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
* Teamworking skills and ability to motivate under pressure.
Personal Attributes:
* Ability to work independently.
* Excellent customer liaison skills.
* Positive, flexible attitude.
