Job Title: SEMH Tutor Maths & English (Stockport) Location: Stockport Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate) Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week (ASAP start) We are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Tutor to work with students in Stockport, providing one-to-one tutoring in Maths and English. This role is perfect for an experienced tutor who is passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping them overcome academic challenges. Key Responsibilities: Deliver one-to-one GCSE Maths and English lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH. Adapt teaching methods and lesson content to suit various learning styles and emotional needs. Build strong, supportive relationships with students, creating a safe and effective learning environment. Help students improve subject knowledge, study skills, and boost exam preparation. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents, carers, or professionals as required. Essential Requirements: At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English. Experience working with SEMH students in one-to-one or small group settings. Right to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one). Desirable Qualifications: PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience with students who have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs. Why This Role?
