The Role
TSR Legal are delighted to be assisting a leading national law firm in recruiting an experienced Residential Conveyancer, Conveyancing Executive, or Chartered Legal Executive to join its highly regarded Real Estate team based in Reading, on a permanent basis.
This is a diverse and rewarding role, working across all areas of plots conveyancing for some of the UK's most prominent housebuilders. The position is well-suited to a conveyancer who thrives in a supportive, fast-paced environment and enjoys working with ambitious clients with high expectations.
You will work closely with developer clients on the sale of new-build plots, including transactions involving purchasing schemes, and will manage a full range of conveyancing responsibilities.
The Practice Group
The Real Estate team advises clients on a wide variety of matters, from large land acquisition projects to high-volume plot sales. The firm is especially well known for its work in the residential development sector, offering deep market expertise built over many years of working with leading national and regional housebuilders.
Clients include well-known developers across the UK, with long-standing relationships that reflect the team's reputation and consistent quality of service.
The Team
You will join an established and collaborative Plots team, which forms part of the wider Real Estate group and works closely with multiple departments. Alongside plot conveyancing, the team handles site set-up tasks, section agreements, compliance certificates, and deeds of variation.
The team operates across Bristol and Reading and comprises 16 experienced conveyancers supported by 9 administrative assistants.
Technical Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will bring experience in either Plot Sales or Residential Property Conveyancing. Experience investigating title for purchased properties is desirable, though not essential.
You will also demonstrate:
* The ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Confidence working with high-volume files while maintaining excellent client service
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Strong IT capability, including use of case management systems
* Solid commercial awareness and an interest in keeping up to date with legal developments
