Salary: Starting from £33,094, depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Location: 33 Grosvenor Place, London, United Kingdom. SW1X 7HY

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Therapy Assistant to join our Therapy Services team with a competitive salary range on offer dependent on experience.

This is a full time, permanent role with the following shift patterns:

Monday to Friday

8am-4pm

10am-6pm

As part of the innovative therapy team, this role will work alongside and support senior clinical Caregivers to deliver effective and evidenced based day to day therapy management of patients including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy.

This role will report directly to an appropriate member of the senior therapy team and will be under the responsibility of the Rehabilitation Services Manager. This role will be passionate about rehabilitation for Inpatients and be motivated to deliver safe, effective and patient centered care supporting the wider high quality, evidenced based therapy team.

What will your duties include?

1. Work with senior therapy Caregivers in the day to day delivery of rehabilitation management for hospitalised patients with physical, cognitive, communicative and emotional impairments maximising independence and quality of life.

2. Support patients to carry out bespoke exercise programmes as part of their daily routine, under the guidance of senior Caregivers e.g. for upper limb, mobility, speech or language exercises

3. Be responsible for the continual monitoring of these patients after training and have the knowledge when to refer and escalate to registered caregivers

4. Be responsible for monitoring service dates of therapy equipment and inform therapy leads of equipment servicing priorities

5. Complete accurate documentation utilizing the electronic patient record as per local policies

What we need from you?

6. A levels, NVQ Level III or equivalent skills

7. Willingness to learn, ability to participate and gain necessary qualifications as per therapy priority

8. A basic understanding of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Nursing and the role of a Therapy Assistant in supporting the rehabilitation team.

9. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

10. Ability and willingness to be flexible in approach to work and to be responsive to changing demands of the service and clients.
