Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is working with a respected and flexible local engineering business to recruit a CNC Operator / Setter.
This permanent opportunity offers a 4-day working week consisting of four 10-hour day shifts, giving you a consistent 3-day weekend. The company prides itself on being a supportive, family-run business where you are valued as an individual.
Key Duties
* Set and operate CNC machinery to produce precision components.
* Work with CNC lathes and/or CNC mills.
* Operate vertical and horizontal milling machines (3, 4 and 5 axis where applicable).
* Operate CNC turning machines (2, 3 and 9 axis where applicable).
* Carry out quality inspection checks on finished components.
* Use measuring equipment including verniers and micrometres.
* Maintain high standards of accuracy, safety and professionalism at all times.
Requirements
* Proven CNC machining experience (essential).
* Experience operating CNC lathes or CNC mills preferred.
* Experience with CNC vertical or horizontal milling (3, 4 or 5 axis) highly desirable.
* CNC turning experience (2, 3 or 9 axis) advantageous.
* Quality inspection knowledge.
* Competent using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometres.
* Dependable, professional and detail-oriented approach.
