Russell House is a 24-hour Homeless Hostel providing safe and supportive accommodation for individuals experiencing Homelessness. At the service we have 15 units of core accommodation for up to 15 individuals with complex needs, and 30 units of dispersed housing in the community. We offer tailored support to help people move towards independent living.
As a night support worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security and well-being of the residents during the night hours. You will be expected to provide practical support and understand the issues faced by people affected by homelessness, including housing support; substance use, mental health and use a trauma informed care approach.
You will manage any incidents that arise and respond appropriately to emergencies or safeguarding concerns whilst maintaining a respectful environment. As a night worker you will conduct regular welfare checks and monitor the access to the building. Completing accurate records and work collaboratively with other team members.
