The opportunity has arisen for this vacancy within the Waste Services Team. We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused professional to lead the development and growth of Dacorum’s Commercial Waste Services. You will shape and deliver a commercial waste strategy that increases market share, maximises income and ensures high-quality, compliant and customer-focused services.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Develop and deliver the Commercial Waste Strategy and business plan
2. Improve service performance, efficiency and quality
3. Act as lead contact for local businesses and key stakeholders
4. Drive income generation and manage charging strategies
5. Oversee market research, benchmarking and service promotion
6. Manage compliance with legislation, Health & Safety and Council policies
7. Prepare reports for Members and senior stakeholders
The successful applicant should demonstrate experience in commercial waste, environmental services or a related field. They should also have strong commercial, financial and strategic skills as well as a proven ability to develop services and grow income, excellent stakeholder and customer engagement skills and knowledge of relevant waste legislation and regulatory requirements.

A full driving licence that is valid in the UK is required and use of a car or to be working towards passing driving test within 12 months of appointment.
