Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Gloucestershire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, including SEMH needs, and other areas such as MLD and SLD. We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Gloucestershire. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who enjoy 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.
Targeted Provision supports each placement with a team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists to help ensure a successful experience for the young person and you. This role involves working 1:1 with young people to raise engagement and improve their educational journey in a child-centered environment.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* These learners are referred by local authorities and schools and may require support in educational and social-emotional areas
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic and engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional journeys
* Complete session reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Employment Status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, providing short-term engagements as they arise
* You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* We do not offer a fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
