Robert Half Technology are assisting a global Pharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Junior Data Engineer on a 6 month contract basis - Hybrid Working (1 day per week onsite) - London based
The Junior Data Engineer will You play a key role in turning data into actionable insights, supporting decision-making, and helping bridge the gap between technical teams and the wider business.
Role
1. The Junior Data Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights
2. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI
3. Extract, manipulate, and analyse data using SQL and Python
4. Communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences
5. Support data validation, testing, and deployment processes across different environments (Development, Test, and Production)
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and reporting processes
Profile
7. The Junior Data Engineer will have a degree in a relevant field (e.g. Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or similar)
8. 0-2 years' experience in a Data Engineer role (including internships or placements)
9. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
10. Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualisation
11. Exposure to Snowflake and/or DBT
12. Working knowledge of SQL for data querying
13. Basic to intermediate Python skills for data analysis
14. Clear understanding of data lifecycle environments: Development, Test, and Production
15. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
