Responsibilities
* The successful candidate will work closely with staff, pupils, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
* Lead and manage the provision for pupils with SEND across the school.
* Work with teaching staff to develop and deliver high-quality support strategies.
* Oversee the identification and assessment of pupils with SEND.
* Maintain and update SEND records, including Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Support staff through training, guidance, and collaborative planning.
* Liaise with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure effective communication and provision.
* Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and support programmes.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* SENCO qualification
* National Professional Qualification (NPQ)
* A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* The ability to work effectively with pupils, staff, families, and external professionals.
