Reimagine the possibilities. Your role and responsibilities This is a pivotal position within our Business Management Team in Adult Social Care (ASC). You’ll lead strategic engagement, oversee information governance, and support risk and business continuity planning across the directorate. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, manage a small but high-performing team, and drive initiatives that influence how we communicate, govern, and deliver services. You will Lead directorate-wide engagement strategies, briefings, and communications. Manage the ASC recruitment process in partnership with HR. Oversee Information Governance and Freedom of Information (FOI) responses. Support Business Continuity planning and quality assurance. Deputise for the Head of Business Management when required You will need Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex or sensitive information clearly and confidently. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience leading or contributing to projects, ideally within the public sector or a similarly complex environment. Confidence using digital platforms, including Microsoft Teams and other IT tools. Analytical thinking and sound decision-making skills. A collaborative mindset and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, senior leaders, and external partners. Based at Endeavour House in Ipswich, we’re part of the wider Business and Finance Service that spans the county. We play a vital role in enabling key functions across ASC, including information governance, staff engagement, risk management, business continuity, and strategic communications.
