The Role: We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Supervisor to coordinate and oversee the procurement of essential parts and materials. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing while maintaining optimal stock levels and supporting scheduled maintenance events. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Management - Oversee the purchase and provision of parts, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with stock models. Supplier & Vendor Relations - Develop strong partnerships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and mitigate financial risk through strategic procurement planning. Team Leadership - Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing purchasing team, ensuring KPIs are met and staff are adequately trained. Cross-Departmental Collaboration - Liaise with operations, maintenance planning, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless supply chain processes. Stock & Cost Control - Minimise costs while maintaining a safe and efficient supply chain, proactively managing lead times and supplier performance. What You Need to Succeed: A minimum of three years in a regulated purchasing environment, ideally within the aviation or technical sector. Strong background in purchasing, contracts, and supplier management. Previous experience in team supervision with the ability to motivate and guide a purchasing team. A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
