* Improve the user experience by simplifying our policies and processes, ; providing easier and better interfaces to systems and self-service and; making services more responsive and providing easy access to help.
* Deliver better data driven decision making by introducing and fully exploiting the latest Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Human Capital Management (HCM) technology; improving visibility, accuracy and accessibility of management information across defence; and, using integrated data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to inform decision making.

Job Description
The Ministry of Defence is moving its core HR systems to a Software as a Service (SAAS) Oracle Fusion platform.
The Civilian population’s HR services have already transitioned to SAAS solution however, CSM (specifically the Defence HR Services (DefHRS) project) has been established to transform MoDs offering to a whole force solution.
CSM is looking for an experienced software developer to support the DefHRS project’s discovery phase, lead the design and development of the solution and provide enduring support and change through-life.
The CDS-DefHRS Application Lead position will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of the DefHrs HR Application, specifically:
Discovery; Acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) you will be expected to work alongside our delivery partner advising, supporting, directing, driving the team to deliver high quality discovery products eg designs, options assessments, plans etc. Implementation Team mobilisation will also be a key part of this phase (recruit, build and upskill).
Implementation: As the Application lead you will be expected to manage our Delivery Partner and internal team to develop, configure, unit test, document, support testing and ultimately deliver the solution into the live environment.
Support: As the Application lead, you will be expected to manage our Delivery Partner and Internal teams to provide early life support/hypercare to the delivered DefHRS solution.
Enduring support: The successfully candidate will be expected continue and manage the internal team to provide through life support and change management.

* A strong development background in SAAS Oracle Fusion with a proven track record of delivering change and support.
* A good understanding of MOD’s Corporate HR Service, processes, structures and systems or Corporate Service arrangements of similar complexity in the wider public or private sectors would be advantageous

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working.
