Team Leader Property Management

My client, a growing property maintenance & management company are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to oversee a team of Property Managers handling residential portfolios, including high-quality HMOs and short-let/Airbnb-style properties. Youll play a hands-on leadership roleguiding, mentoring, and supporting the team while also managing your own portfolio of properties.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong people manager with extensive property experience who can take initiative, solve complex challenges, and drive team performance across a growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support a team of 58 Property Managers, each with their own residential portfolio
Oversee a personal portfolio (approx. 25% of role)
Act as the first point of contact for complaints, ensuring rapid and effective resolution
Monitor team and property performanceidentify areas falling below standard and implement corrective action
Ensure adherence to internal processes and high standards across all properties
Deliver one-to-one support, appraisals, and training for new and existing team members
Guide and mentor the team, offering constructive feedback and encouraging professional growth
Drive operational improvements, particularly where properties are slow to let or performance is lagging
Collaborate with the wider business to maintain quality standards across all units
What Were Looking For:
Proven experience in a similar senior property management or team leadership role
Background in managing large residential portfolios, including HMOs or short-let/Airbnb-style properties residential experience is essential
Strong knowledge of tenancy management, property standards, and compliance
Hands-on experience dealing with property challenges inside flatsnot just communal areas
Comfortable making decisions, solving problems, and leading from the front
Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and organisational skills
Ability to provide structure, support, and accountability within a growing team

Hours are Monday to Friday 9.15 5.30 pm
