Salary: Base salary: £54,878pa to c.£64,562pa depending on skills and experience.

As an Asset Information System Manager at HS2 you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of HS2's Asset Information Management System (AIMS), a critical component of HS2's Common Data Environment (CDE) and the depository for HS2's Asset Register in order to deliver HS2 Digital Engineering and Asset Management objectives.
The role will manage the Asset Information team, engaging with various programme stakeholders developing HS2 asset data dictionaries, ensuring the specification and configuration of AIMS is in line with the HS2 Digital Engineering and Asset Management strategies to ensure an up to date and controlled Asset Register and related information is maintained, shared and managed throughout the HS2 programme.
About the role
* Set the strategic direction and be the guiding mind for the Asset Information Management System (AIMS) in the context of Digital Engineering
* Subject Matter Expert for the AIMS programme of work, ensuring it is fed into the wider Digital Engineering programme and resources are managed effectively and projects delivered on time
* Lead the creation of HS2's asset data dictionary, through engagement with Engineering, Environment and Asset Management disciplines, and collection of asset data requirements in‑line with Digital Engineering's Information Requirements Framework
* Define the AIMS data model, in‑line with Digital Engineering's Ontology Framework, and ensure wider alignment across the programme
* Establish and continually improve governance processes relating to asset data dictionary and AIMS configuration changes • Provide technical, commercial management and leadership skills to support end state and delivery functions across the programme
* Lead the continual improvement of AIMS functionality through specifications and requirement definition to meet evolving business requirements;
* Identify and implement changes to workflows and quality processes to improve data quality and the efficiency and effectiveness of information exchange processes;
* Promote Digital Engineering strategy and uptake of AIMS in all areas provide training, and deliver presentations to both internal and external audiences
* Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
About You

* Provide specialist technical support on all discipline‑specific principles across stakeholders within the programme
* Alignment of strategic objectives with actions and plans
* Leadership – Ability to lead a team for the delivery of a business goal.
* Interpersonal skills to motivate project team.
* Stakeholder Management – Identification of stakeholders, analysis of their expectations and influences, development of appropriate strategies to work with stakeholders.
* Communication – Ability to manage relations with both internal and external stakeholders. Good negotiation skills to manage expectations
Knowledge
* Educated in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field to at least degree level or equivalent and/or a track record demonstrating professional development;
* Knowledge of data management practices is essential;
* Knowledge of the requirements of ISO19650, ISO 55000 & ISO 8000‑150;
* Knowledge of information governance, integration and analysis;
* Knowledge of data quality processes and the ability to analyse and articulate the impact of change;
* Understanding of the influence that a data quality has on the asset lifecycle;
Experience
* Experience in Asset Information Management, preferably in the rail industry and linear assets
* Project planning and organisation to meet significant programme milestones, including cost delivery and schedule targets
* Experience of working in large complex organisations, managing multifaceted stakeholder landscape and influencing key stakeholders is essential
