Due to ongoing growth and expansion, there is an opportunity for a Plant Physiology Scientist to join the team on a full time permanent basis. We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about plant physiology, someone with a solid track record in molecular biology, data analysis, and experimental design. As an integral part of the validation process, you will have the opportunity to develop unique screening methods for the pipeline and identify solutions by analysing a variety of complex datasets. Develop and optimise methods to characterise gene edited crops, both in controlled environments and field settings. Work closely with scientists, agronomists, and other team members to understand research goals and provide data driven recommendations. Analyse complex datasets from field trials, controlled environment systems, laboratory experiments and other sources to draw actionable conclusions and guide further optimisation efforts. Integrate plant physiological and genetic knowledge to drive improvement of crop traits. Collect, clean, and organise complex data from multiple sources and extract meaningful conclusions and insights. Present and report key data in meetings and provide written reports / slides to senior management. Stay current with emerging analytical tools and propose improvements to data collection, management, and analysis practices. Train and mentor less experienced members in the team What will you bring to this role? A PhD in Plant Biology (or similar advanced degree) with at least 3 years of relevant work experience A deep understanding of plant physiology, with a focus on photosynthesis. Proven track record of developing methods to study crop performance in controlled environments, preferably soy, wheat, maize, or other major row crops. Hands-on knowledge of statistical analysis methods and data visualisation tools such as R, Python, or SAS. Experience with field trial design and analysis. Exceptional ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non technical stakeholders. A reputation of being a great team player, capable of working independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Is this the dream role you have been searching for? Great!
