Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor located in Daventry. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management for construction projects, including cost estimation, contract administration, procurement, and risk management. Day-to-day tasks involve preparing and analysing budgets, managing project finances, authorising payments, conducting site visits, and liaising with clients and contractors to ensure project progression aligns with financial constraints and timelines.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in cost estimation, budget preparation, and financial management in construction projects
* Strong contract administration and procurement negotiation skills
* Expertise in risk management, cost control, and value engineering
* Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, construction cost estimation software)
* Ability to work effectively on-site and manage project timelines
* Bachelor\'s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, with relevant professional certifications (RICS or equivalent)
* Experience in Industrial SHED building
* Experience in civil engineering and groundworks is beneficial
