Treasury Specialist - 6‑Month Temporary Contract
Location: Darlington
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: Up to £45,000 (pro‑rata)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Treasury professional to join a dynamic organisation on a 6‑month temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys taking ownership, and can hit the ground running from day one.
About the Role
You will play a key part in the day‑to‑day running of the Treasury function, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and strong stakeholder engagement. This is a hands‑on role that also offers the chance to support and develop team members while driving operational excellence.Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, cash forecasting, payments processing, and bank reconciliations.
* Building and maintaining effective working relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and senior internal stakeholders.
* Ensuring full compliance with group treasury policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
* Coaching, developing, and managing members of the treasury team to support high performance.
* Leading and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across Accounting Operations, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and best practice.
About You
* Proven experience in a Treasury or similar financial operations role.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
* Comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment and managing competing priorities.
* Available to start immediately.
