Based Dalbeattie, DG5 4PL Rotating Shifts 24/7 (42 Average hours p/w) Working alongside a team of Engineers, under the leadership of our Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing a prompt and responsive fault diagnosis and repair service throughout the sawmill, and undertaking routine electrical maintenance across a range of plant and machinery. Specifically, some responsibilities of a Shift Electrician include: Troubleshooting and testing equipment, controls, and software. Repairing Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electromechanical Machinery. Undertaking a variety of preventative and reactive maintenance duties. Installation of machine parts such as valves, pumps, and motors. Carrying out planned maintenance checks, finding and fixing any faults. Responding to emergency breakdowns on our production lines. Identifying solutions that will improve systems efficiency and reduce costs.
