Job Description
Are you a mid‑level buildings structural design engineer seeking a new challenge? Would you be interested in joining a large, well‑established multidisciplinary property consultancy at their Oxford office?
The work includes a wide variety of building‑structure projects, ranging from large complex schemes up to £200m to small local client schemes. Projects are both UK and international with clients such as F1 teams, motor manufacturers, schools/universities, contractors and developers.
The firm has been operating for over 50 years, continually invests in its people and keeps up to date with new technologies. It has a low staff turnover and prides itself on technical excellence and on delivering projects on time and to high standard.
You will be joining an established and expanding Structural & Civil Engineering team, where you will develop and collaborate with other internal construction and property experts.
You will design building projects involving concrete, steel, timber and masonry, both new‑build and refurbishment works. The role also includes undertaking some survey and report work. Excellent communication skills and a desire to attain Chartership are essential. You should be a proficient user of structural analysis software such as Tekla, MasterSeries, SCIA and Tedds.
Company benefits include 25 days holiday with an option to buy extra, a pension scheme, life assurance, hybrid working, private health and income protection schemes. A great social life, CPD, training for Chartership and excellent support and career development are offered by this progressive practice.
The company is not providing right‑to‑work sponsorship; full right to work in the UK for the long term is essential.
