* Supporting site management and subcontractors to maintain safe working practices
* Investigating incidents, near misses, and accidents and producing detailed reports
* Monitoring subcontractor compliance with health & safety procedures
* Maintaining accurate safety documentation and records
* Liaising with site management, clients, and regulatory bodies when required
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Construction Health & Safety Manager or similar H&S role within construction or fit‑out projects
* Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH Construction Certificate)
* Valid CSCS Card SMSTS or equivalent site safety management training (desirable)
* First Aid at Work Certificate (desirable)
* Asbestos Awareness
* Strong knowledge of UK construction health & safety legislation and best practice
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Construction Health & Safety Manager to oversee and maintain health, safety, and high compliance standards on a distribution project based in Birmingham. This role requires a proactive and organised individual with strong knowledge of construction health & safety legislation who can support site teams, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote a positive safety culture across the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing and managing health & safety compliance across the construction site
* Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with current HSE legislation and company policies
* Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
