Prescription Clerk – 20 hours per week (Mon to Fri, 08:00 – 12:00)
Location: Two-site Practice, [off A5]
We are seeking a reliable and organised Prescription Clerk to join our friendly and busy two-site practice. This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday mornings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process and manage prescription requests accurately and efficiently
* Liaise with patients, GPs, and pharmacies regarding prescriptions
* Maintain prescription records and ensure compliance with practice protocols
* Support the administrative team with general duties as required

* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good communication skills and a friendly manner
* Experience in a healthcare or GP practice setting desirable but not essential – full training will be provided
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Prescription Clerk to join our friendly and efficient team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across our two-site practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately process and manage prescription requests
* Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy
* Manage and organise physical and digital files for easy retrieval
* Professionally handle phone enquiries with excellent phone etiquette
* Assist with scheduling and administrative duties as required
* Use Microsoft Office, and practice-specific software for documentation
* Support team members with various clerical duties, fostering a collaborative environment
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and practice information
Requirements:
* Experience in a GP surgery preferred, but full training can be given to the right candidate
* Proficient with Microsoft Office
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Excellent typing skills and attention to detail for accurate data entry
* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
* Proactive problem solver who can work independently and as part of a team

Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 12:00 (20 hours per week)
