Overview
Consultant Psychiatrist - CAMHS, Blackpool (10PA) - Two posts. The postholders will be leading members of a well-established, community children and young people’s mental health service based at Whitegate Drive Health Centre in Blackpool. One post is newly created as a result of the Children and Young People transformation. The post is full time (10PAs) and includes eligibility to join the Safety and Improvement Fellowship programme. The postholder will be expected to participate on the Consultant On Call rota with additional remuneration.
* The posts are in the Fylde and Wyre CAMHS Team within LSCft.
* Recruitment and Retention Premia apply (see details in the post). A £40k premia payable on commencement; relocation package available. Eligibility criteria apply. Staff currently employed by the Trust would not be eligible to apply for the recruitment and retention premia.
* Development opportunities include the Safety and Improvement Fellowship (funded by the Trust) with collaboration with Lancaster University and Matthew Syed Consulting to enhance improvement skills.
Responsibilities
* Lead and contribute as a Consultant Psychiatrist within a well-established CAMHS team.
* Participate on the Consultant On Call rota (additional remuneration).
* Engage with the transformation work for Children and Young People (CYP) services and support service development.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care for children and young people.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and eligibility for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.
* Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or be eligible to have Approved Clinician Status.
* Remuneration aligned to the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience; minimum of 2.5 SPAs for a full-time post, with flexibility to support other activities aligned to the Trust’s wider ambitions.
