Accounting Technician | Belfast | Permanent Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with an established and reputable business based in Belfast and are actively recruiting for an Accounting Technician to join their finance team. This is a full time permanent opportunity, office based. The Accounting Technician will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. More specific duties will involve: Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions Prepare and post journal entries accurately and promptly Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Maintain and update financial records and files Support month-end and year-end closing processes Assist in preparing financial reports and statements Coordinate with auditors during audits and ensure compliance with financial policies Support inventory and asset management activities Respond to internal and external financial inquiries Perform other accounting duties as assigned to support the finance department The Person: Proven experience as an Accounting Technician or similar role for 3 years Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in Sage 200 accounting software Excellent organisational and time management skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Get in Touch: To find out more about this lovely opportunity, please get in touch with Lizzy Lyons on and email an up to date cv You can also contact me on Linkedin.
