MRI Lead Radiographer
Cherwell Hospital - Banbury
Full Time - 37.The successful candidate will be a qualified Radiographer and registered with the HCPC. You will have experience in managing a team of Radiographers or being an existing Lead MRI Radiographer within the NHS or Private Healthcare Service in the UK. The successful applicant will lead on clinical aspects, training and competencies, QA, MRI safety investigations and ensure that the MRI team are kept up to date with current practise and protocols.

As the Lead, you will set the bar of what an exemplary patient experience looks like by being present in a clinical capacity, whilst also completing operational duties to ensure that the department excels alongside the other modalities within the diagnostic Service.

This will include completing audits, financial review and budget setting and staff resourcing. Your flexible and enthusiastic approach, alongside your priority management, will be vital to your success. Being able to adhere to the guidelines set by the CQC, IR(ME)R and other regulatory bodies will be crucial to ensure a safe patient environment.

You will be accountable for the service within the MRI Department, having experience within a similar environment would be beneficial, but not essential.

a DCR or BSc (Hons) radiography
Evidence of a minimum of 2 years MRI experience.
Evidence of 2 years’ experience of managing a team of radiographers or as a Lead
A flexible and dynamic approach
Experience in supervising and assisting specialist and junior radiographers.
experience of Responsibility for department MRI safety in line with local rules
Leading departmental audits and Quality Assurance programmes.
Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
Teach and lead the MRI service.
Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities
Responsible for MRI safety in line with local rules
Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme.
Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and, can report faults in line with Ramsay Health policy.
Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
Comply with all Ramsay Health policies and procedures.
Participate in on call rota (must be able to attend site within one hour of call activation)
