Main duties and responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of managing and controlling the golden thread documents for the entire PBSA portfolio in the UK.

• Complete MOR’s where relevant and log with the BSR, keeping a central log of the occurrences for reporting management.

• Review and maintain the building safety cases, ensuring all relevant documentation is up to date and the building safety case is still active and current.

• Work with specialist consultants for the completion of building safety cases or queries relating to the building safety act.

• Be able to liaise with the Building Safety Regulator for queries and support where required.

• Liaise with property teams or the central FM team for certification, service updates.

• Be a leader for the H&S platforms, training property teams where required to ensure they are maximizing the benefits of the systems that support the safety of the properties.

• Have the ability to raise red flags where required to ensure the business is kept abreast of risks relating to building safety.

• Ensure the properties are displaying the correct mandatory documentation in line with the building safety act.

• Assist in ensuring Standard Operating Procedure’s that relate to property safety are relevant to legislation and expected business practices.

• Carry out property inspections to ensure compliance with the BSA.

• Increase and continually promote a positive H&S culture across our property teams.

• Play an active part in the building safety committee.

• Work with other key stakeholders for resident engagement events at various times in line with the BSA.

• Assist the team with ad-hoc duties as required.


Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role

• Experience within PBSA sector

• Knowledge of safety management systems

• Knowledge of Building Safety Act, Regulatory Reform Order 2005, Building Safety Cases, Resident engagement, MOR reporting and management

• Knowledge of current legislation and industry best practice guides

• Contractor Management skills

• Ability to be agile

• Ability to develop new processes and procedures

• A good collaborator

• Passion for safe working practices and people safety

• Driving license required.


Qualifications:

• Working towards or possess NEBOSH / IOSH certificate

• Knowledge of building health & safety issues / FM background

• Knowledge of ISO 18001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001

• Professional memberships – IOSH, IFE, FPA IWFM etc.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Building Safety Act.

Office Working Arrangement:

Currently, our team operates on a four-day office workweek and 1 day working from home.
