A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused Optical Assistant on a full time, permanent basis in a very busy practice in Wickford, Essex. I am recruiting currently for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.
This practice is situated on a busy high street and has a large and loyal customer base. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.
YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN OPTICS.
IF NOT, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED.
Salary:- 26,000
Contract: Full-time, to include weekend day
Location: Wickford
Bonus: Percentage of sales (approx 15-250 per month)
Hours: 9 to 5:30, 5-days per week
You will be working in a medium-sized store surrounded by a very supportive and close-knit team, they have 3 test rooms and around 10 staff who are willing to help and aid you in the right direction, as they are big on team building and work to provide an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches.
You will also be required to carry out frame styling, adjustments, collections and give patients advice on best options.
Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
A up-beat and friendly – attitude the ability to build rapport with customers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
The hourly rate is 20p over minimum wage, a salary of up to 26,000 based on 40-hours per week.
You will also be entitled to a performance-based bonus scheme
Holiday entitlement is 20-days, plus bank holidays
Hours are 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sundays and will include 1 weekend day.
