Lecturer (0.8 FTE), maternity cover for 10 months
The postholder will contribute to a positive student experience by delivering teaching, assessment, pastoral and academic student support, and administration processes associated with undergraduate Global Affairs, Politics and International Relations modules. The post is located in the Division of Social and Political Sciences in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The successful candidate will hold strong expertise in globalisation theories and international relations, including the ability to apply diverse frameworks such as world systems, dependency, realism, feminism, to historical and contemporary global issues. Furthermore, the postholder must have awareness of key pastoral and academic student issues and be willing to undertake the role of Personal Academic Tutor. The postholder will also be expected to engage in activities that support the wider course and division, such as recruitment activities including open days and applicant days and supporting student inclusion initiatives.
