We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Compliance Manager to join our dedicated and supportive team. This role is ideal for an experienced individual with strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex matters simply.
A bit about the job:
The key purpose of this role is to provide advice to local leaders (within all three lines of defence) on existing and upcoming regulatory and conduct risk regulation, including the practical implications of these regulations. This advice will help leaders understand and make informed decisions for our customers and Aviva. The role involves working collaboratively through a risk business partner model, with a directive approach where regulatory requirements are explicit.
Additionally, you will:
1. Lead risk and conduct challenge, contributing to significant product and distribution developments, influencing strategic direction, and demonstrating how we deliver good outcomes for our customers.
2. Oversee material Conduct Risk events and remediation activities where appropriate.
3. Proactively utilize conduct risk data to identify risks within UK General Insurance, providing recommendations and mitigation strategies.
4. Prepare reports for local Committees, management, Group, and other MBU’s, and foster effective relationships with the local Executive and Senior Management.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Experience as a compliance manager within General Insurance, Life Insurance, or Banking.
* Expert knowledge of UK regulatory expectations relevant to the business area.
* Strong relationship-building skills with 1st line of defence and senior management, recognized as a credible and trusted adviser.
* FCA experience with conduct regulation, demonstrating sound judgment to focus on key issues and advise others effectively.
* High personal and professional integrity, credibility, and respect from key business partners.
