The Warwick Dermatology consultant team are expanding and there is an opportunity for a Locum Consultant Dermatologist to join the team. The post holder would work alongside 6 Consultant Dermatologists and 3 Speciality Registrars to provide high quality dermatological care to the patients of South Warwickshire, based in the Warwick Dermatology Centre in the centre of Warwick. The successful candidate would deliver outpatient clinics for general and skin cancer patients and perform surgical procedures. The post holder would be expected to work autonomously and manage their own case load, and to participate in departmental meetings such as the Skin Cancer MDT, Dermatopathology meeting, and Combined Clinic.

The appointee will, together with consultant colleagues, be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive Dermatology Service. The successful candidate will work flexibly and co-operatively with other members of the team to provide a high quality, comprehensive service within this teaching hospital environment.

The main roles and responsibility are the diagnosing, managing and treating of patients referred to the service. This will involve conducting outpatient clinics and undertaking surgical interventions and systemic treatment. The clinical elements will be agreed with the management team before commencing in post.
