Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software, including QuickBooks, as well as a solid understanding of accounts payable functions.
Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
* Manage accounts payable, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, and preparing payments.
* Assist with month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
* Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies related to accounts.
* Generate financial reports as required and assist in budgeting processes.
* Support the implementation of new accounting software or upgrades to existing systems.
* Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Previous experience in an accounting or administrative role is preferred but not mandatory.
