Job Opportunity: Senior Scheduler (Contract)
We currently have an opening for a Senior Scheduler on a contract basis, based in Ipswich / hybrid work arrangement. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in major heavy civils or infrastructure projects, especially those with experience in enabling works or earthworks. Key Responsibilities
* Work within a large-scale project environment, managing an integrated schedule within a schedule hierarchy.
* Ensure effective project controls management information, challenging and assuring outputs from direct reports and supply chain schedulers.
* Lead scheduling topics, develop schedules from first principles, and summarise supply chain schedules.
* Identify key interfaces, drive efficiencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
Minimum Requirements
* Degree or equivalent in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering, or related fields.
* Proven experience as a Senior Scheduler on large, complex infrastructure projects.
* Expertise in planning and scheduling, with extensive experience in Primavera P6 and schedule quality packages like Acumen Fuse.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to develop programmes from first principles and critically evaluate suppliers' programmes.
* Strong understanding of Schedule Hierarchy, Schedule integration, and Schedule change management.
* Ability to promote planning and scheduling at all project levels.
* Knowledge of contract frameworks such as NEC and FIDIC, and understanding of QSRA and construction management.
* Understanding of design processes and CDM regulations and their impact on scheduling.
* Experience managing senior stakeholders and resolving complex scheduling challenges.
* Excellent presentation, influencing, facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
