Position Overview
As part of the talented Web Team, you will be primarily a Full Stack Developer focused on front (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and back (JAVA) end development of the JAVA Web Platform, along with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS and Commerce.
Essential Functions
* Ensuring Web Development is delivered efficiently and effectively
* Pro‑active approach to planning and guiding development
* Documenting best development practices in Confluence
* Researching and understanding the AEM platform roadmap
* Operating the Web Platform (JAVA, AEM CMS/Commerce)
* Improving monitoring and fault finding to identify and fix issues
* Managing the release process from development to live deployment
* Providing release notes and communicating with the business
* Using Agile/JIRA to deliver major incidents, bugs, and new development against business goals
* Sharing work within the Development Team during Sprints
* Communicating status to key global stakeholders
* Managing transition hand‑overs to CMS/Commerce users (Web Managers)
* Updating the business on incidents and known issues
* Acting as a JAVA Application Developer with CMS and Commerce experience
* Maintaining strong relationship with AEM Services
* Providing technical support and participating in AEM forums
* Supporting Test/QA to reduce risk in development
* Co‑ordinating DevOps, integration and architecture of the Web Platforms
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years of JAVA development on a web platform
* 2+ years in a support/operations environment (monitoring and issue resolution)
* Experience developing integrated solutions (API, Web Services)
* Knowledge of the AEM platform and deployment procedures
* Experience with Web CMS/Commerce platforms
* Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to communicate at technical, business and personal levels
* Strong business acumen and analytical, management, and problem‑solving skills
* Effective time management, organisation and leadership skills
* Ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Experience providing detailed, high‑quality technical documentation
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment
* Experience working remotely, attending morning SCRUMs and communicating via MS Teams during the working day
* Willingness to attend meetings and communicate outside standard working hours, and to travel to global offices as required
