£25,652 per annum plus on‑call payments.

Your Impact And Responsibilities
 * Provide dignified and professional care for the deceased.
 * Support Funeral Directors in delivering seamless services and ceremonial work.
 * Drive and operate specialist vehicles (hearses, limousines, private ambulances).
 * Maintain high standards of presentation for vehicles and facilities.
 * Participate in an on‑call rota (nights/weekends) to support families with dignified collection and transfer.
 * Bring the deceased into our care from the place of death – private homes, hospitals, hospices or public spaces.
 * Prepare the deceased (washing, dressing, presentation) in accordance with family, religious or cultural wishes.
 * Support chapel visits and interact with families in a calm and respectful manner.
 * Carry out all duties involving the deceased with care and professionalism.
Skills and Knowledge
 * Empathy, professionalism, composure under pressure.
 * Respectful, caring approach when supporting colleagues and families.
 * Physical capability for manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying.
 * Comfortable with direct contact with the deceased in various conditions.
 * Reliable, flexible, and able to work outside standard hours when needed.
 * Professional and dignified presentation.
 * Full UK driving licence (essential).
No previous funeral experience necessary – training, uniform and support will be provided.
