Overview
Working as part of the Radiology Administration team, the post holder will be required to provide efficient and clerical support to the Radiology Department including community sites. To work as part of a team providing a high-quality service to patients, visitors and colleagues within the Radiology Department. To be the first contact at Radiology reception desk and on the telephone for all service users. Book patients' appointments for diagnostic purposes in line with the office booking rules and using the electronic diary. Be flexible and rotate between tasks and sites.
Responsibilities
* Be the first contact at Radiology reception desk and on the telephone for all service users.
* Book patients\' appointments for diagnostic purposes in line with office booking rules and using the electronic diary.
* Be flexible and rotate between tasks and sites.
* Undertake a wide variety of administration duties including arranging Radiology and Phlebotomy appointments and reception work.
* Work to deadlines whilst maintaining data accuracy in a pressurised environment.
Qualifications and Skills
* Motivated person with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working within a customer-focused environment.
* Knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with an excellent telephone manner and attention to detail.
* Awareness of strict confidentiality at all times.
* Willingness to work at Halifax CDC (Broad Street Plaza) and Huddersfield CDC (university), including some evenings and weekends.
