Job Description
Are you an experienced property professional looking for a varied and hands-on role? We’re looking for a skilled Surveyor to help manage and improve a diverse residential portfolio, ensuring homes are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with current standards. This is an interim role for 3-6 months.
In this role, you’ll take responsibility for inspecting properties, identifying issues, and overseeing a wide range of works, from day-to-day repairs to larger refurbishment and improvement projects. You’ll play a key part in ensuring that all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out property inspections and diagnose building defects
* Specify, schedule, and oversee repair and improvement works
* Manage contractors and monitor quality, cost, and progress
* Ensure all works comply with relevant regulations and safety standards
* Undertake condition surveys and support safety compliance activities
* Review completed works and resolve any issues or discrepancies
* Maintain accurate records and produce clear reports when required
* Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally
* Support project delivery across both occupied and vacant homes
What We’re Looking For
* Solid understanding of construction methods, building defects, and maintenance practices
* Experience managing repairs, maintenance, or refurbishment projects
* Knowledge of relevant housing and building legislation
* Ability to manage budgets and work with contractors effectively
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with residents and stakeholders
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
