Lawyer - Adult Social Care
Salary Scale: PO3 - PO6: £44,331 - £55,620
Waltham Forest is a progressive and innovative borough with a vibrant culture and a dedicated Legal Service. We aim to provide our diverse client departments with the highest quality service through our skilled professionals. We are seeking a Lawyer in Adult Social Care to join our Families Team at a council that truly cares about its community. If you're looking for an exciting opportunity, this could be the role for you.
As part of the Adult Social Care legal team, you will handle a variety of matters including court of protection proceedings. Advocacy skills to represent the Council in court are desirable but not essential. Your primary focus will be managing a diverse community care caseload, advising on court of protection proceedings, ordinary residence disputes, and providing legal support to our Adult Social Care department.
Applicants must be qualified solicitors, barristers, or Chartered Legal Executives with significant experience and PQE in adult social care or community care law. We value professionals with excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and a strong dedication to their work. You will be part of a friendly, supportive team that fosters professional development.
This role requires flexibility and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Your dedication can make a positive impact across our borough.
Please note that this role is subject to a Basic Disclosure Check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
