Responsible for: supporting a designated group of students to succeed at Regent College London and contributing to the successful design, delivery, and development of curricula within the subject area.
Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Business hours are Mon-Thu, 9am - 9pm, and Fri-Sun, 9am - 6pm.
Location: Must be flexible to work across all campuses: Holborn, Great Titchfield St, Wembley, Kingsbury, and Southall.
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Overall purpose
The Senior Lecturer plays a crucial role in our academic management structure, responsible for ensuring that students maximize their opportunities at Regent College London and fulfill their potential. The role includes the full responsibilities of a Lecturer, plus academic and student support management duties. The post holder will provide teaching, student support, and academic management to ensure student engagement and success within their programmes.
Specific duties and responsibilities
Academic Management
* Adopt a work allocation model for their team.
* Establish mechanisms to report on staff and student activities.
* Ensure academic processes adhere to RCL policies and awarding bodies.
* Perform line management functions for assigned team members.
* Support staff development processes.
* Participate in recruitment and induction processes for staff and students.
* Mentor less experienced colleagues and advise on personal development.
Student Support
* Serve as the first senior point of contact for a group of students.
* Collaborate with relevant teams to support students and implement support plans.
* Ensure student voice is heard and academic needs are addressed.
* Address engagement or performance issues, referring students to specialist services as needed.
* Handle pastoral requirements and signpost students accordingly.
* Monitor students’ Learning Support Plans in coordination with specialists.
Teaching
* Have a reduced teaching load due to student support duties.
* Design and deliver teaching across modules or within a subject area.
* Prepare detailed Schemes of Work for academic review.
* Ensure 90% of students submit assessments on time.
* Support student achievement and KPIs.
* Contribute to module evaluations and program reviews.
Assessment and Marking
* Provide timely, constructive feedback on formative and summative assessments.
* Mark assessments according to briefs and deadlines.
* Escalate academic misconduct cases appropriately.
* Review assessments to meet awarding bodies’ standards.
* Update assessments annually as needed.
* Prepare external examiner and assessment board reports.
* Contribute to the Annual Monitoring Report.
Scholarship
* Engage with scholarship activities within the School.
* Support the School’s Scholarship Plan.
