Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Lymington Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE Accountant Role Overview: Based in Lymington, our client is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their growing team. You will be focused on delivering an exceptional client experience and depending on your experience you will also lead a small team. Your responsibilities: Prepare and file tax returns accurately and within agreed deadlines. Maintain compliance with relevant tax regulations and internal quality standards. Identify, investigate, and resolve tax-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain clear, accurate, and complete working papers to support tax computations and filings. Communicate professionally with clients, manage expectations, and provide timely responses. Build strong client relationships to enhance satisfaction and retention. Work effectively with UK and India teams to achieve objectives. Provide advice, problem-solving support, and training to colleagues on tax return processes. Be approachable and available to assist team members and clients. Use to-do lists and prioritisation techniques to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Respond promptly to emails and follow up on assigned work. Support process improvements for better client service delivery. Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Seek guidance from the director when needed and work on building confidence. Contribute to team development and assist in onboarding/training colleagues. The ideal candidate: Strong time management and prioritisation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Problem-solving mindset and collaborative approach. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Commitment to professional growth and team success. Experience in tax compliance and client service.
